Getting ready
A special necklace from her Godparents.
Getting a blessing from Deacon Steve.
Adalyn was asleep as we took her bonnet off so she was taken a little by surprise when the holy water was being poured on her head.
Getting anointed with baptismal oil.
Adalyn with her grandparents and great grandparents.
Sadly, Grandma Joan was sick and couldn't be with us.
A photo with Uncle Austin
The grandparents got to bless the water Adalyn was baptized in. Luke blessed it too. :)

A special cake made my Great-Grandma Judy.
I think it looks like Adalyn is praying in this photo.
Adalyn was baptized on Sunday. It was a special day but sometimes it seems like those special days get lost in the hustle and bustle of getting everybody and everything ready but there was a very special moment when I was holding Adalyn during the ceremony. I was thinking about what today meant for her as I held her tight and watched as the gentle snow fell outside and I felt calm and very blessed and I don't think I'll ever forget that sweet moment.
May God bless you always our sweet baby girl!

ReplyDeleteWow! What a treasure to have these precious moments recorded forever. She looked absolutely heavenly. Reminds me of the day you were baptized, Ame.
ReplyDeleteMay you always remember that moment you experienced with her in your arms. Those are the Holy Spirit blessings that stay in our hearts forever. A true gift from God. I am so happy for all of you as you celebrated Adalyn's Birthday into our faith community. January 20th will be a special day for her each year. I love you all dearly. Aunt Lisa
