8 years

we celebrated our 8 year anniversary last monday.

Adalyn was pretty excited about the flowers greg brought me. :)

road trip

Last weekend we decided to go on a little road trip to celebrate our anniversary. :)
We didn't put a lot of thought into it,
we quickly packed and headed out. It was exciting.
It felt so fun and cozy to head out in the snow.

We drove over to see Little Raegan and Michelle & Grant!

We got to see Michelle's classroom and the kids got to do a clay project with her. When we got in the car Ethan said, "That was so Awesome!!"

Then we headed to Minnesota to go to the Mall of America.
Luke is really getting into legos, Ethan too, so the boys were in heaven when got to the lego store!
We all were pretty giddy as we walked into the mall decorated in lights and silver trees for Christmas!

It was Adalyn and I's first time in the American Girl store together and Adalyn got a little outfit for her bitty baby. She was so proud to carry her bag around the mall. I kept asking if she wanted me to take it but she insisted on carrying it the rest of the evening. :)

The boys got to sit on Santa's lap
(kind of nice to check that off the list early.)
Adalyn wouldn't go near him again this year. :(

We stayed at a hotel near the mall and got in some swimming time.

and some playing time.

We spent some time with Grandma Pearl and Papa Bob on Sunday.
It was so good to see them.
Grandma hurt her arm so I didn't want to bother them with pictures.

On the way home we stopped at cabellas.
It was a fun weekend!

little update

We're ready for snow. Bring it on!
The kiddos were so excited for the first snowfall!!
The boys were shouting, "It's Christmas, It's Christmas!" :)
I just can't believe how much older Adalyn looks all of a sudden.

I started an etsy shop :) there's a link to it off to the side.
Adalyn is posing in one of the aprons. :)

Adalyn got her bangs cut, I think she looks so sweet in these photos.

Adalyn's first braid, and Nightgowns... I love Adalyn in nightgowns. :)

The kids love this horse outside of kmart. :) It makes me smile how excited they get to ride it.

Playing at the library after story time.

Before the last home game.
The boys went with Daddy.

hey there little red riding hood...

Nana and Papa came to have some Halloween fun with us.
Nana dressed up for work as part of "awkward family photo,"
and Papa's mask had Adalyn pretty freaked out. :)

They had a blast trick-or-treating.
Adalyn insisted on carrying her basket all night and kept saying "I'm so excited, I'm so excited," as she skipped from house to house.

I got to help with Luke's halloween party at school.
It was a lot of fun and it made me feel good that he got so excited to have me there. :)

our own little halloween party.
