I LOVE this photo!

This picture makes me smile!
The boys were so excited to find a couple of frogs in the yard and Luke is showing it to Adalyn. :)

first day of kindergarten

The first day of kindergarten was last Thursday.
Luke did great, we were so proud of him, he was very excited to start school and ride the bus.
We got to meet his teacher the day before and she was very kind. We did a scavenger hunt to put away his supplies and were excited to see he has a friend from preschool in his class.

I have to admit this was the hardest part but Luke was so excited which made it easier.  It hit me the hardest when we got the bus schedule in mail, knowing that Luke was going to be gone for most of the day. I held it together that morning though....until the bus drove away.
That feeling, wow! So proud, scared, sad, excited all at once.
I remember laying in bed with Luke as a baby in our Clarence house thinking I have 5 years, it's going to be ok, he's still a baby and I have 5 years (really almost 6) and now it is here!
I'm not even going to let myself think that about graduation!

Getting ready for the first day.

Luke's school journey begins......

the tooth fairy visited our house

Luke lost his first tooth the night before kindergarten started. It was the very first time the tooth fairy visited our house so we were all very excited. :)

state fair

We spent a fun evening at the fair.
Adalyn loved the little hands on the farm, it was her first year doing it and there wasn't a part she was going to skip.
Ethan got to go down the big slide on his own this year and as Adalyn and I waited for the guys to go down she said, "I want to try it!"
Ethan did a Chocolate milk chugging contest, he really wanted to do it but missed the opportunity to participate with the kids so he got to go up with Greg and chug with the adults. :) They gave him a head start and he started chugging away. We were so proud of him for getting up on stage and he was pretty proud of his chocolate milk that he got to take with him.
