New Life

We have been anticipating the arrival of this little one. We were outside last night doing yard work and I walked over to see the horses and up walks this little baby right next to it's mama. I was shocked, I called for Greg to come over and see. We called the owner to let him know and then spent the next half an hour watching in amazement how strong and big this little baby is after being born for less than a day!

We have this beautiful Rhododendron blooming right outside our front door! This is the first time it's bloomed since we've lived here.

Luke had his very first ever tux fitting today!

It got me thinking about all the special times he'll wear a tuxedo in his life.

If I haven't said so before he is going to be the ring bearer in my sister's wedding in June. I can't wait to see him in the full tuxedo and holding hands with the flower girl!

Daddy's Home!

When the Mazda pulls in our long lane around 6 o'clock our house gets filled with excitement. When I  announce "Daddy's home" the dogs start barking and Luke runs from window to window to watch Daddy drive around the curve in our lane, wave hello, and let Brandy out. Luke then runs to the door so excited to give Daddy a big hug and hang his hat on the hook in the entryway. Honestly though I don't know who's more excited when 6 o'clock comes around, Luke or me!
