hanging out with uncle Austin

We spent a morning downtown with Uncle Austin and walked to the State Capitol.
It looked just beautiful with all the purple flowers blooming!

Spring Break

The following photos were taken by a photographer on the cruise ship.

Adalyn and I got to go on Spring Break to Florida with Mom, Dad & Austin.
We went on a Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas & made it back safely. :)
It was nice to soak up the sun, enjoy a day at the beach, go to some shows, relax and get some one-on-one time with Adalyn. She did great and got lots of attention on the ship since she was one of youngest passengers aboard. You have to be 6 months old at the time of tickets purchase and she just made the age requirement.
Daddy and the boys stayed home and Luke & Ethan went to Gramma & Papa's for a few fun days!
Adalyn & I missed our guys and it was good to get home to see them.

What Luke's been up to...

Visiting Uncle Austin in his dorm. Luke is very excited to go to college.

We went to Iowa State's Fan Fest a few weeks ago.

Luke had his first trip to the ER a couple of weeks ago. He had a big fall head first and suffered a concussion. He kept throwing up the next day so we took him in for a cat scan at Blank Children's Hospital. He was a very lucky little guy and everything turned out fine. After a few days he was back to normal. Pretty scary though.

Luke & Daddy camped out in our yard for the first time. They stayed out in the tent all night and had a lot of fun.
Luke can't wait to do it again.

Memorial Day Weekend ~ Opening Weekend At The Lake

We spent Memorial Day weekend at the lake. The weather was perfect lake weather, hot!
It was amazing how many people were swimming in the water so early in the season.
Both boys enjoyed the boat rides, I wish I had a video of Ethan's face when we first took off fast. He couldn't keep his eyes open or stop smiling. :) Uncle Austin's 18th birthday was on Memorial Day this year, we spent part of the day at Great Grandma & Grandpa's riding go-karts, golf carts and 4-wheelers. Luke loved it but he spent most of his weekend on the pool table playing with tractors and he was very happy about that.
