Pella Tulip Festival

We had a great day at the tulip festival a couple of weekends ago.

Flower Blooms

We've been enjoying all the beautiful flowers that have been blooming around our place. This is our first spring here and it's exciting to see what will bloom next. 

We've also been soaking up all the warm weather lately and spending lots of time outdoors. 

Adalyn loves to lay on a blanket and the boys love to ride their bikes and play in the dirt. Greg got their Gator going and they could not be happier. I have been trying to tackle our flower gardens. We have lots of little critters that I am learning about,  on average I am discovering a new FREAKY bug by the day. It's really hard to try and remain, "Bugs are Cool!" when I'm around the boys, however, I am trying to stay calm even though I want to run every time I see as wasp (or these really really huge bumble bee's that have been hanging around.) Anyway :)

Late Summer Blooms

These were blooming in the garden when we went back home this past weekend.

Saying Goodbye To Brandy before she heads to Gramma & Papa's house for a while. 

 Luke wanted to be in a photo with the "H" tractor before it left our place. (It's loaded up on Papa's trailer.) Luke & I were soaked from giving Brandy a bath. I love his silly face in this photo.

After this we had so much fun feeding the horses apples and just sitting in the grass enjoying one of our last nights on the acreage and the best part... was leaving the camera inside. :o)

Apple Trees Blooming

Our Apples Trees were blooming so pretty last week, we had to get some photos. There used to be two apple trees in our back yard, sadly the wind got one and it feel down last week right as it was getting ready to flower. It had a hollow base though so I guess it was easier then deciding to cut it down.

Our lilacs are blooming too, they smell wonderful!! Greg & Luke picked these for me on their way back from a trip to town. Luke brought them up to the door by himself, handed them to me, and said "Happy Birthday Mommy," Ha! 

It wasn't my birthday but it melted my heart!

The Sweet Smell of Roses

 

Greg surprised me with flowers the other night. :o) I thought it would be fun to take a few photos of the beautiful peach colored roses. Luke thought it would be fun to copy me with his own camera. Ha!
