Luke's Night Away From Home Update

Saying goodbye to Grandpa & Nana.

Luke's first night away from home went great.

He had so much fun at Grandpa & Nana's.

They said he was really good and even slept through the night!

Amazing!!!! That never happens.

It sounds like everyone had a wonderful time!

I think Luke is very lucky little boy to be so loved!

Luke's Nursery

We moved into our house in June of '08. The summer before Luke was born. We bought a hundred year old house that need some updating. We were having a boy so the flower wallpaper and pink carpet had to go. The first thing we did the day we got possession of the house was tear off the wallpaper (unfortunately the walls came with it) and pull up the carpet (we we're so excited to find hardwood floors).

A lot of work went into this room. The walls and closet had to be completely redone; we painted, we polished and Greg added the crown molding. I am very happy with how it turned out. If you look closely you can see how we pulled up the carpet in the landing too. Greg stained this floor a dark color and I love it!

Tonight's Moon

The full moon tonight is beautiful.

We had just finished the big adventure of climbing to the upstairs!

First Night Away From Home

Luke's first night away from us is going to be this weekend! He is staying two and a half hours away with my parents (Grandpa & Nana). We are going out with some of Greg's co-workers and their wives. It should be fun. I am looking forward to a night out but I know I will miss Luke terribly, especially when we get home for the evening. Luke will be in great hands though!

So a night of restful sleep ;o) here I come! Did I mention, Luke is not a very good sleeper, never has been. It's something we really need to work on and I'm sure I'll post about it later.

My Favorite Time Of Day

One of my favorite times of the day is the time Luke and I spend together before his nap. We cuddle up in his nursery with a blanket, Patch his teddy bear, and a book! Luke loves to be read to. Some of his favorite books are "The Franklin Series". Luke is a very busy little guy so it is so nice when we can take some time to sit and cuddle. After a few books we rock until he falls asleep; which is quite quickly now that he is down to one nap. He's always so content to rock and cuddle and I cherish these moments together.
